I have always been very passionate about fitness.  I began running in college which has led to many amazing experiences.  I also began lifting weights in my early 30’s which helped me to become a much stronger runner.  I was able to qualify and run the Boston Marathon in 2013 and 2014.  I also was lucky enough to get to run the New York Marathon in 2015.  I completed my first triathlon in August 2015.  I decided that I wanted to share my fitness enthusiasm with others so in May of 2015 I completed my certification as a Certified Fitness Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). Due to a chronic muscle issue in my back I was given advice from my doctors to start doing yoga and Pilates.  I started taking yoga classes and immediately fell in love with it.  The breath with movement and the meditation worked miracles to control my pain, as well as, help me to let go of my day to day stresses.  I decided rather quickly that I wanted to learn more about yoga and possibly teach it to others.  I began the 200 hour teacher training program in September, 2015 at Shamrock Wellness in Carmel. This yoga journey has been life changing!!  I am very excited to share my knowledge of mind, body and spirit, as well as, my knowledge and experience of running and personal training!!  I am currently working on my certification to become a Pilates teacher, and I am also planning to pursue my 500 hour yoga teacher certification beginning late Summer.
